More and more students, at the college level, are playing CC rather than BBb tubas. Since the Arban book is a staple in the library of most college tuba students, it only makes sense to have made it "CC tuba friendly". Perhaps it need not be said, but, one CAN play all of the etudes and songs on any tuba; be it pitched in BBb, Eb, F, or CC. We should be able to play a Gb scale(in any of its froms) or the "Melody from A Major Symphony" on any of our tubas. It wasn't meant to be an "exclusively" CC book. It, quite simply, best fit the niche.
