The auction text about my own Saporetti & Capelli said:

My luck was, that neither the seller nor other serious bidders could see, that this was no altohorn/mellophone, but a genuine single F French horn. A US collector friend/competitor told, that he would have outbid me grossly, had he known of that auction. I got this one for the equivalent of $200, shipping and currency exchange costs included.
