I have been to a band camp where there was a masterclass. I had the opportunity to play with a lady who has a masters in music and also plays the Euphonium! What an opportunity. Well, she also played on a Willson. She informed me that the Willson most buy is the 2900 because it is not to big and not to small. The Willson 2950 is a bit too large and sounds sort of like a tuba. The 2950 is primarily sold in Britain where they need a larger difference between a true Euphonium and the true Baritones that they use. I would go with the 2900 any day and I have currently ordered one. Good luck. Also Brian Bowman and several other Euphonium masters play on 2900's. I just cant remember their names now. Again, good luck.
