Chuck, are you advocating that we rescue the cimbasso from the ghetto of Italian operas and bring it into the mainstream? Just think, we could carry the notion of the twin-belled euphonium down an octave, and have a twin-belled tuba/cimbasso! [Of course, a practical version might need wheels and a small motor for getting it around.]
