I'd see if I could find a local tuba equipment nut and see if you could try a few of the mouthpieces in their collection. When you find one that works, give it back and buy one just like it. Or, see if a local music store will let you go in the back room with several of their mouthpieces and try 'em with a tuner. Find the one that comes closest to the sound and tuning you want & get it. If you want to look around some more later, you'll at least have a good starting point re: rim, cup depth, backbore, etc.

FWIW, I had good luck on a helleberg with a Mir 185 back in college.
