I am selling my 5-valve (right thumb fifth valve) Alexander F tuba with a Reunion Blues gig bag. This tuba belonged to Michael Moore, plays reasonably well in tune, and has that exquisite Alex sound. Although it is several decades old, the horn recently been completely disassembled and all dents and remaining lacquer removed; there is no evidence of red-rot. A custom valve-lever machine has been installed, with nylon ball-links, and valve-end-play screws have been installed in the end-caps. A first-valve pull ring was added years ago, and works well.
The horn is located in the San Francisco bay area.
I am asking $4500 for it.
