Those trumpet geeks had a really nice ITG Journal article back in 1997 (I think) that was a comparison between various oils, both petroleum distillates and polymers. It was very interesting, in an oily, trumpet kind of way. (Heh, heh, heh.)
I think that kerosene was used as a control. But I am probably wrong about this.
