Yes..Larry is right..timpani enters with the tuba. The timpani plays a repeating figure on B (and eighth note triplet followed by a quarter note another eighth note triplet followed by another quarter note) that continues until the tuba and timpani drop out at the same time. Very placid after all the commotion the came just before!
