One more example that trial and error is the best teacher and that you will choose the mouthpiece best suited to you and not what someone else uses.

There were 2 who use the same, or similar, mouthpiece. All the rest of us use something else.

Let's see, here are just a few of the sounds or reasons that people use:

focused
a huge core to the sound
a good core with a little fuzz around the edges
very big which usually means very little core to the sound
big
in tune
bright
brighter
dark
darker
blows easy
has a little resistance
Take your pick or add your own!!

In other words, the mouthpiece helps each of us to achieve what we want to hear. We all believe, in my opinion, that we're right and the other guy isn't.
