There were two versions of that record jacket of Bill Bell's. One was will a black and white photo that was used originally in the King promotions the other which is in color is a studio shot of him holding a 6/4 BBb Martin. He just borrowed that horn from a music shop because of its great looks. He did much of the recording on the 4-valve Eb King Sousaphone.
I have a 6/4 BBb Martin with both bells. I do use the recording bell sometimes on outdoor summer pops concerts with my orchestra. It's a wonderful tuba, but I don't find much occaision to use it instead of my CCs during the rest of the season.
