a question about tuba and physics
a C in the staff has a frequency of 130.8 hz and wavelength of 262.4 cm (at 440 at 20 C)
at 21 degrees C, the wavelength is increased to 262.9 cm.....
does the tuba player need to pull out 1 cm or .5 cm to make the pitch adjustment for the temperature
