I didn't go to IAA myself, but I worked at Interlochen as a counselor one summer and have many friends who have gone to the academy. Everyone I know who has gone there had a wonderful time and came out well prepared for college life, both musically and mentally. Many of the top young tubists in the country went to this school. This alone vouches for the quality of Tom Riccobono as a teacher. Check it out.
