I've been looking for a bass tuba for some time now, and my finances have straightened themselves out to the point where I am now in the position to be able to afford one. I'm looking for something fairly large, since it will be my only instrument for the next few years. (And yes, I've played a couple of large F's with an orchestra and found that they're more than adequate for the groups I'll be playing with.) I'm not picky about brand or cosmetics, but I'd rather stay away from compensating instruments and I'd like to stay under or around $4000. Anyone have anything I'd be interested in?
