You better believe AD/HD is overdiagnosed. Myself being someone who is genuinely affected to a very serious degree by the disorder, and having had experience all my life with the educational system's way of "handling" AD/HD, I have witnessed many, many children being medicated who simply don't need it. Unfortunately, it is this overdiagnosis/misdiagnosis that prompts ridiculous claims such as "AD/HD doesn't even exist in the first place." In these cases, it is always the genuinely affected child who loses out.
