I personally agree with your post; however, I would also include the King 2280(?) in the list. I think we've seen way too many parents fork out big bucks for horns only to have the student stop playing after high school. Most high school level music isn't going to go below the staff, so why purchase a compensating horn. An inline 4 valve horn plays just as in tune as a compensating horn on all notes except maybe low E.
