I have to say the DE mouthpieces are the best find I ever had. I use many different bore instruments so the combination shanks are a blessing obviously.
I don't find them that expensive considering the workmanship involved and the huge range available.
Regarding sound, I can't answer that, except to say that I have only experienced improvement and enormous volume in the big cups.
