I'd recommend giving Oakland University in Michigan a look. They have a fine euphonium player/teacher there, Dr. Kenneth Kroesche. I'm not familiar with the rest of the music program there, but he's definitely worth the time to investigate. I'm pretty sure they have out of state tuition waivers though. Plus, you'd only be 45 minutes from U of Michigan and 20 minutes from Detroit Symphony concerts!
