Hi All,
I suppose it all goes back to what equipment you use, but I have found that what I described before about the heavy weight pieces can also happen in other instruments as well. I know of a trumpet player that is playing in an orchestra that almost was denied tenure because of his playing. The pitch was really low, the sound matched nothing, and he was consistantly chipping notes. And this is a very talented musician. He then switched his equipment to a lighter weight set up and poof! all problems are gone and he still has his job. Granted this isn't gonna happen with everyone but, when I saw what he was playing on at first, I thought there might be trouble. You may sound fabulous on the heavy equipment, if so, GREAT!
I suppose we all someday will find the perfect combo to play on, but until then, We're doing the best we can.
good luck all,
