I'll more than likely be playing the Gregson next February on mine. Not fluffy, stuffy, or foggy at all. Better, IMO, than the 822 Yamaha. And it's a BBb.

I'll keep saying it, and I know certain higher-ups agree with the statement: an instrument's key does not determine its playability. It's the manufacturer's willingness to produce a top-quality instrument that determines its playability.

I'm not even going to bother getting a CC, Eb, or F until I can play everything necessary on my "big ol' muddy-sounding tubby fluffy slower-to-respond-than-molasses-in-January" tuba.

Then, I might think about it.
