Although the Alexanders have a reputation for erratic intonation there are examples of good intonation in every key. I have both a BBb and CC Alex where the intonation probles are minimal (they must have their dents in the right places)and I know someone who is very pleased with the intonation on a five valve Alex F.

The "D" on my BBb must always be played as 1,2 never open, the fifth valve on the CC tames it well and the five valve f is just blessed. Robb Stewart once commented on the intonation of a six valve Alex F with "The horn has six valves but it needs seven."
