I wouldn't say that there are a total of nine varieties, since only three will fit into whatever horn you have.
Anyway, I own the BB1. It has a narrow, but very deep cup, and my range is the widest on this mouthpiece than any of my others. The sound is smaller, but more focused on this mouthpiece than some of my others, making it a good solo mouthpiece. I know the BB3 is smaller than the BB1, and the BB1 is too small for my taste. I still use it when I have to play quick solos, though, like Carnival of Venice.
