No BAT player me, but try the PT-48. That allows a strong tone on a German-style instrument. The previous owner used it for years, and won a symphony gig with it on his Yorkbrunner.
It has a bit more bowl to it than a PT-88, and a bigger backbore than a Conn Helleberg (which I'm using on my F tuba).
