I agree with what Alan has to say whole heartedly. Credit Cards are a mess! My freshman year of college I got into about $2,000 of credit card debt, all on stuff I thought I needed. $2,000 in debt can easily cost $2,500 to pay off, plus the headache of bills, etc etc.

When you put it all into perspective, all credit cards do is charge you a fee to spend your own money... I now have one credit card that I put a $500 limit on. I use it only for online purchases, and hotel reservations, AND I pay it off at the end of every month. You shouldn't have to pay anyone else in order to spend your own money; with careful budgeting, and a little common sense, credit cards are pretty much unneccessary.
