In my opinion, Dr. Youngs tuba does not qualify as a BAT because contary to appearance it isn't big. Indeed it does have lots of tubing and is long, but it doesn't have the 3 Bs that I use to determine a horn as a "Big Ass Tuba". 1. Big Bore. 2. Big Bell 3. Big Bottom Branches. The Conn 20J (or 4 valve counterpart in this case) has all three of these and in mine opinion should rightly be called a BAT.
