If your looking at a Sony recording of Tchaik 4 by Abbado, that would date from the early to mid 80's. Not '89. You may have a reissue. I go blind from all the cut outs and recombinations of recordings that go on. I paid little attention to the Abbado CSO Tchaiks because they were so dull. I believe Rex Martin played those sessions. My stupor over these recordings is no reflection on Rex or the CSO, it's Abbado, a stupifyingly BORING conductor.
