If the number you quoted is the serial, which I suspect it is, the horn was probably made between 1964 and 1967 and may have some value simply for its rarity. In this case, it would be more worthwhile to keep it as is and put the repair money toward a newer CC horn. It depends on whether you want a player or a collector piece. In my personal opinion, for what it's worth, you can find a newer, much better player already pitched in CC. Some of the older horns, the most obvious being the earlier Yorks, have intrinsic value just because they were well designed and seemed to have just the right combination of things like alloy mix, taper and bore, etc etc. which lend themselves well to conversion. I don't believe the early Meinls fit into that mold, but again that's a subjective call.
