IMHO,
The conversion from Eb to F might be really tough on this one because the dual combination of a REAALY short leadpipe and a very fast post-valve taper.
Anywhere you cut in a fast taper is going to seriously mess with the intonation. You can't simply re-taper the ends of each bow-- the bugle is too short to enable this. To have any success with this conversion, you would have to virually re-do everything between the valves and the bell section in order to create a useful taper.
Can someone out there "in the know" (Matt W or the like) confirm my assumptions here?
