I tried to send an e-mail to mark about this, (Mark, don't know if you got it). But I'm wondering if heavy metal caps for Yamaha BBb contra basses (field horns) will help or not. We experience a difficulty in playing in our low range and having it project as well as the upper range (let's just say above and below an Eb below the staff). What I'm hearing about the caps on this site makes me think they might just be the trick. I guess the problem is no one's developed them yet. . .
