They gave me a list of solos to play. I picked one of them out. I auditioned before a staff sergeant. He made the final decision on whether or not i was in. I then had to do everything else a marine is required to do. I had to do the full 11 weeks of basic training. combat training and then i was to go to the school of music. however i was unable to complete bootcamp and was discharged. You are a marine first and a musician second.
