How would others handle a tuba demolision derby with the other tuba player sitting next to you? I own a very nice 2 years old brand new 191 mirafone 5 valve gold brass tuba no dents untill last week, the guy next to me has or was a new cherveny that he has had only one year and it is beat all to hell. I always put his chair at least 5 feet away from me so he has lots of room. He dumps his water out in a very careless way and handles his horn like he is in a demolision derby. I have to watch him out of the corner of my eyes to avoid him hitting me in the head [it happened before] or hitting my horn. After a rehersal he had even put his horn in his case and actually rolled it right into my case with my horn in there and bent the latch. I was able to bend the latch back. Well the other day I blew my cork!!!! had enough of it. Yes I used some choice words. Should I send him a repair bill for the bell he damaged?
