The CSO BQ came to Japan this past June and Gene only brought his Yorkbrunner to play everything. They did works like Arnold and West Side, standard stuff. He sounded like a million bucks. He even used his Schilke HII. I have used my Holton 6/4 in my BQ with much success. It is all about how you approach the music. Recently I am using a new Yamaha 822S-F tubaa because the low range is just so easy and it basically works like a CC if you want it to.
