Maybe Chuck!

But my revisiting of the Greenhoe site presented absolutely nothing to my not too unexperienced eyes, that told me of any Greenhoe valve presenting any principial differences from traditional brass/bronce milled rotor systems.

I very well might overlook essential points, but then I have to ask you to be more specific, linkwise or hintwise.

My suspicion towards rotor valves is quite well stated. Yet I own 43 of them as opposed to 58 pistons. And a very Zen-type selfcontradictory statement has to be made.

The best working, that is acoustically, large rotors of mine are those of my King 7B bass bone. And from a visual point of view, they are the absolutely worst ones.

Their air passages are nowhere close to be round. If anything, they are rhomboids with the valve casing cutting off one tip. Making them irregular pentagons (absolutely no sick hint intended).

Looking forward to be furtherly informed!

Klaus
