Until 1998/99 the USMC was still on the weight to height ratio chart. Since then they have changed to body fat as their official weight evaluation. The USMC requires all males to be at or below 18% body fat. I don't know what they are for females. The method of body fat test they use is measuring around your neck and your stomach at the bellybutton and using the difference on some chart they have.

When I was in the USMC, at 72 inches tall my weight requirement was to be 203 lbs. Which I struggled to keep. Once they changed to body fat test I kept my weight at 220, which for me was about 15%. I assume the USMB uses the same system, it is Marine Corps regs. This system is much fairer.
