I agree that the mouthpiece is crucial on the MW2000 (and other horns) to get the most sound and/or definition from it. The size of the receiver on this model is somewhat a limiting factor because it requires a large shank mouthpiece. I have found that the Tuba Exchange Marcinkiewicz Rose Concert Hall (Professional) mouthpiece provides a very large sound. Also, I have started using a custom-made Marcinkiewicz H-1 Concert Hall mouthpiece when I need more definition (articulation) especially in the low register.

Another mouthpiece which seems to work for me on the MW2000 is the Doug Elliot R-cup with an R-6 shank and a 130mm rim. I'm sure other similar mouthpieces would work as well for other tubists.
