There are larger bass trombone mouthpieces which you could use in the euphonium, for example the Marcinkewicz M-106, but in my opinion, the 59 is already too large for good endurance in the high register. You might instead try using a smaller mouthpiece for euphonium, such as the Dennis Wick SM-2, or a larger mouthpiece on tuba, such as the
Schilke 69C4 to increase the rim size difference between tuba and euphonium. In my experience, keeping a large difference between rim sizes makes doubling easier.

Probably, as you have pointed out, you are not getting enough practice. Perhaps you could make use of a stand on the euphonium, or a rest for the tuba, to help your back.
