It has exposed a deeper issue about the morals of gossip, which are important on a public forum such as this. Any time something like this comes up, we have to remind ourselves why it's bad, in hopes that it won't come up again. That portion of the thread should be preserved. Much of it has already been removed.
That Greg S has gained this lesson represents a great success, and reduces the population of those who will make this mistake in the future. For everyone like Greg willing to admit it publicly, the hope is that there are many others who have learned quietly. And that includes many of us who know it already but who will take no harm by being reminded once again.
