when you´re planning to check out a 6/4horn , maybe go for a rudy 5/4 first and then maybe for DA MONSTA. I mean, rudy´s 5/4 BBb allready is so big, it´s actually too big for many local and community-band tubists. Just like the guy I bought mine from. He´s the mayor in his little village and a hobbyist tubist. had to blow three times to get one note out of the horn. so it really CAN happen that you´re playing a horn too big for you.
But there was this remark about big horns teaching you efficiency - maahaan - they really do!! If you´re planning to come over here and try the 5/4 and the 6/4 alongside each other, e-mail me, maybe we can go out for a beer or meet at the factory or something...
