Embouchure strength is the answer. It takes time to build the strength and flexibility to produce even slurs, and G to C might just be the hardest one. Make sure that the air and your chops are slurring, and don't move your face to assist the slur. Practicing lip slurs on the bugle (without changing valve combinations) will help. Don't be discouraged. If you can get this right, other things will come easier. If you need a flawless slur for a performance or audition, then think about the legato tongue discussed below. But don't skimp on building your embouchure strength for the sake of making it sound good. If you only played things that sounded good, there would be little development. Work with the air and build strength. That is the path to greatness.
