It's okay, Klaus. Even native speakers of English are caught by irregular verb forms. Pictures are supported by being hung, men are executed by being hanged. "Hoist by one's own petard" is another case in point. It sets my teeth on edge when I hear "hoisted". In this case, "hoist" is the past participle of "hoise". And don't get me started with abuses of "lie" and "lay".

You're doing fine. I doubt that I could assemble a coherent sentence in Danish.
