in the market in U.S. are two different F-tubas 181 Miraphone. The different to see is easy, because in the new 181 F-Tuba there is an engraving Miraphone (Logo) and Premium (Build since 1994).
The old have a conical bore from 0.74 to 0.83. The new Miraphone F-Tuba have conical bore from 0.77 to 0.83. Also the main tuning slide is bigger (and another bell, bow and leadpipe). The Premium F-Tuba is in the low register much more open. It is very free and open to play the tuba.
