Sofia Gubaidaluna (probably misspelled) or Joan Tower? Sofia wrote a Lamento for Tuba and Piano and Joan Tower has written a lot of Brass music, such as the Fanfares for the Uncommon Woman. Also, don't forget Elizabeth Raum, she's written a lot of music for the solo tuba.
