The one with CSO/Levine is very good all around. The older one with LA/Metha is very interesting in the fact that the bass tuba part is doubled. Bobo and Tommy Johnson both play the part, and it REALLY shows through. An even more rare and hard to find one is with Boston/Leinsdorf. Chester Schmitz was quite young on this recording and played the entire tenor tuba part on a F tuba (double high c's and all). I don't know who played the bass part, but it's a wild ride start to finish. I think I have an LP of that, I should look around and see if I do.
