Valid Point! The first time I saw the Canadian Brass I was amazed at Charles Dellenbach (SP?). Then a band director whose opinion I valued said, "Of course he can play that high...he's playing a Single C tuba, I'd like to see him do that on a real tuba!" No kidding. Sadly, I didn't know any better and thought that his greatness was due to something other than being a great player.
