To my way of thinking, it comes down to your conception of the piece you are performing. My personal concept would lead me to use the 3/4 size CC. Witha horn like that, you get the weightiness of the CC tuba sound while maintaining a nimble character.

Also, a masterclass of tuba players means people that are used to listening in the low range that we so often play. With a non-musician audience, I might be more likely to use the F tuba to appeal to the more standard listening range of the audience. Controversial thoughts, to be sure.
