I think the Vienna recording with Pierre Buolez is absolutely outstanding. The tempi and balances always feel right and I would put this disk in my top 3 favorites in my whole collection. It's also quite cheap, check it out.
I don't know if this is an important consideration for you, but the best recording in terms of sound quality is most likely Michael Tilson Thomas' recent recording with the San Fran SO (SACD). It is also a great recording, but not on par with that of Buolez, although the brass playing is superb.
