While I was a student at the Cutis Institute, I was fortunate to have performed a concert under the direction of Sergiu Celibidache. Probably the most single important concert I have ever performed and rarely does a day pass that I do not think about that concert. We had 27 rehearsals and a performance in Philadelphia and in Carnegie Hall in NYC. It was the last time I played Prokofiev's Scythian Suite and I never need never to play it again. Probably the finest musician I have ever woked with in my career.
