I've only of a couple of companies making AJ copies, and Marcinkiewicz isn't one of them. Maybe they did. As far as shallower cups, I own a PT-60 which is a shallow cup mouthpiece. I have found it gives me a "brighter" sound. My upper register exanded a little and my lower register struggled for a couple of days, but that was just adjusting to the mouthpiece. Hope that helps a little.
