The complaint of some ASU tubist masqerading as Tom B. notwithstanding,
I wanted to post this before it closes on that auction site later this a.m.

lightly-used Mirafone Rose Model Orchestra Tuba Mouthpiece. Excellent condition with only very light insertion marks on the perfectly round, undamaged-ever shank. This is at least 25 years old, and is a very early version of this mouthpiece, produced long before Mirafone assigned the C9 designation to this design. It is a very deep funnel-shaped mouthpiece, with a large inner rim diameter of 32.7mm and a backbore diameter of 8.2mm. The rim is very comfortable and not at all sharp like large Hellebergs. This style mouthpiece is designed for BBb/CC tubas, and considered an ideal mouthpiece for both "american-style" as well as rotary german-style tubas. (It was also a very popular mouthpiece when I marched in college, excellent projection "off-the-line" without any of the breaking-up that we know "never happens on the field.")

I have found this an ideal MP for all-around use, while your mileage may vary you may want to try it
