I would definately call it a BAT. Have you played one? I guess it depends on how you use that "A" in BAT. It is a medium bore. Weighs a ton and a half and stands about 6feet high when it is in a chair. It is a big Awkward tuba!
Graduated bore would probably make these things even more awesome instruments than they are.
