With such a case as the 187 has, I frequently get the "Why didn't you play flute"-"How do you live with that"-etc. etc. For one-what fun's an instrument in band if you can't hear it play? Also, the big case is a kid magnet-what other instrument gets al of the young violins at a local symphony camp to cluster around it and gape in awe? I just tell people it's worth it. It also mean you get to drive an interesting variety of cars. And lastly, what other instrument makes a sound like this one?
